📖Favourite Manga📖

#1 Barakamon

by Satsuki YoshinoVery heartwarming and wholesome, my comfort manga. I feel like the stories become more and more relatable as I grow older. Handa's conversation with Yasuba at the mochi catching scene gets me every time.

#2 Delicious in Dungeon
(Dungeon Meshi)

by Ryoko KuiThe writing is amazing! Silly and serious moments are balanced so perfectly. The manga is mosly lighthearted, the dark stuff never overstays it's welcome. I really love how diverse the character body types are!

#3 Witch Hat Atelier

by Kamome ShirahamaThe most gorgeous manga I have ever laid my eyes on. Every page looks like a standalone illustration. Shirahama's inking style has definitely influenced my own drawings. Whenever I have trouble drawing people, I find myself opening a random page just to encourage myself. For me, the recent volumes do suffer from a bit of a tonal whiplash. The story might be getting a bit too dark for my taste...

Loose Leaf Lettuce (11/10/23)I harvested some of the bigger leaves. It tasted like leaves.

French Breakfast Radish (11/10/23)The actual radish root is starting to get bigger. The skin(?) of the stem is splitting becaus of the growth. It's finally standing up properly now!

Forget-Me-Nots (11/10/23)There are some black spots on the tip of one of the leaves. Hopefully it's fine.

Progress Log (last update 20/8/23)- i'm finished with the main body of the game (i.e. the story). it should be playable.- now i'm focusing on drawing the cgs. i think i'm going to make a cg for each page.

Playing through Darkpetal16's IF - Underfell really gave me the courage to start making a twine game. If you have a few hours to spare, check it out. It does so much with just pure text!

The game is about a university dropout (Ein) going back to their childhood home after receiving an invitation from their cousin (蕾). Nostalgia and spookiness ensue.It takes place in Malaysia. The process of making this game helps me solidify memories of my old home. A home that does not exist anymore.
